Just to make sure, so in 1 hour?

Yeah, an hour from now.

...which rules me out I'm afraid.  :(   Have to leave for work at 3.

Coud someone save a replay?  Will be interested to see how it goes.   :)

Is the points system a recreation of a GP500 era?
I can't really remember how it worked back in the day.  I've a vague recollection of a change in the early 90s but thuoght it was top 10 that scored then, not top 8.

I'm bringing it up because I'd rather we used the current FIM system, with points down to 15th.  I can easily go a whole season outside the top ten, and if I'm having a season-long battle with someone and neither of us are scoring, how will we know who came out on top at the end?   :-\

Backmarkers need the odd point too.   ;D
Oops - just seeing your post.  ::)

Yeah, was great to hear it was back on the calendar again.

No progress here I'm afraid.
...but modding's always been a winter thing for me.  Some night it'll be dark and cold and wet and the mouse'll drift over to the lightwave icon again.
It's the only project on the cards when that happens.   ;)

Project for the summer was my dad's old Blade.  He decided he was done with sports bikes and has been running a KTM Super Adventure for the last couple of years.
Wasn't about to pass on a free hunk of Mr Honda's finest, even if it needed some TLC.
Fresh bodywork and radiator.  Braided hoses(and the RCS19 off the wee ZXR).  Plugs, filters, fluids some bearings, battery, etc.  Done the valve clearances.  Lots of stripping just to check and grease stuff.....

Tracks / Re: Different Track Layouts

Never done it but was supposed to at Knockhill so looked into it a bit.
You make a second centreline, give both distinct names then merge both with the trp.
Using the same names as the centrelines, pile up all the other files:
The layouts for cones.
Camera files.  They work off the centreline chainage, as do the marshalls.
...so if you change the centreline length they won't work right anymore.

Was a reverse layout I was wanting so do so the grid also needed separate files and there was something about the pits...
...oh yeah - I just wondered if running the PITIN and PITOUT surfaces the wrong way would mess anything up.  Can change everything else around but they're on the model.

Hi tommaso.

There is an export plugin for 3DSmax 2010 that will write tracks directly to GPB format.
If you run a later version you can export as FBX then use the fbx2edf conversion utility.

Javiliyors does scratch builds?
I'd recognised a few of the models from other games and presumed all the rest were conversions as well.

V0.5 now available.

Looks like I've overdone it a little at the rise.  After Mere my framerate is down to 65, which is as low as I want to take it.  :-\
Can barely see any of the bushes on the left there going up to the bridge so I'll swap those ones out when I get round to planting low-poly bushes.
Updated to V0.5 in first post.

Spoke too soon.  Raising the size to 0.5 done the job.  We have shadows agan.   ;D

Been adjusting colour levels.

Also adding more trees and bushes.
...and fences, and hedges, and marshalls...
...the endless cycle continues.   ;D

Have hit a snag with shadowmaps during conversioon so while I shink I've sorted all the shading problems from the last version, I can't tell because this one has no shadows at all.  ::)
Trying out a few settings but it's not looking promising.  :(   Think this one may be for the support forum.
Bug Reports / Track selection screen - Image tab.
March 30, 2019, 05:06:16 am
On my track selection screen, the Image tab only displays info for the first 118 tracks.
After that - no image and the Location/Author bits are either blank or gibberish.  On some of them the word Location is missing as well.

If I remove all the working tracks then all the ones that weren't working work fine.

It's just the Image tab, the Track Info tab is ok.

V0.4 now available.

Have hit "sick of the sight of it" time again so rather than finish the col reduction I've just done another conversion and will be taking a little break.

Did the fence col reduction make any difference?  Hard to say.  I'm down 2 FPS at Mere, up to 180 after the esses, down loads after Memorial and Drurys....
Adding 120k of bushes at the same time has made it impossible to tell what effect it's had - would have really needed to try it on the same model.

Good news is that the places that still need more high-poly trees are still running smooth.  There's not many left to plant now.
Hundreds of X-trees still to go in to fill various gaps but they shouldn't affect things much.

The marshal model fix worked.  :)

Need to have a good look over the model and add SHAD_ to some of the layers(like the marshalls, yams, cameramen, fences...  ::) ).  Didn't cross my mind when I took them off the WLL selection.  :-[
