Yes, i ordered the exact same one and it was in the post the same day. It was paid by paypal and all correspondence was with/to the paypal account holder via that contact e-mail.

I bough the 2 electronic boards from Hobby components as a pack - linked from EDtracker site, already had a micro USB cable.

I was very impressed by the service, but i do believe they have 2 or 3 different people processing orders. If you need help, the on line 'contact us' was answered very quickly.

That's odd then as I have already tried the contact sheet to see if their out of stock or something but still nothing (and I've checked my junk folder).

Thanks for the link Nick, I'll try that as I have used a hotmail address.

Had all other components sitting here for 2 weeks, they look great! lol   ;)

Cheers guys

Custom hardware / Re: Gear shift patterns

Simple but effective. The foot switches give resistance before clicking and I wouldn't want much more with only socks on. I want to introduce a spring to hold the lever central at some point but otherwise it's job done. If you have some kind of footwear on though this gives very little feel. Only other issue is longevity of the switches, first set lasted about 6 months of heavy use before needing a trip to the bin but these new ones are way better albeit a slightly higher price.

Also tried playing with 'direct lean', turned it up to about 65%, big difference and i am finding the bike much easier to control  :) At low values of 'direct lean' the bike seems heavy on the steering and needs large amounts of opposite stick input (gamepad) to lift the bike out of a turn leading to a lot of stick wobbling to get the bike stable and upright.

What controller are you running with then H, not your custom rig?

Some fair comments david, check out the lap times for that track http://gp-bikes.motonline-france.com/bestlaps.php

And I thank bob for this info, helped me and several others to get something better to learn to ride faster with, seems generic too.

Personally I go with a long wheelbase, front brakes leverage 16, low engine braking (higher in game value).. traction control 5-6.. Low front preload, fast rebound. Soft compression..

16 front brake seems subjective though but works for me, if you can flip it, it's enough  ;)

My best lap at Mugello with the RCV2014V (the only big bike I'm sort of able to ride) is 1m58, I average around 2.0-2.3, in sunny 20c-conditions, and with no wind. In the real race this past weekend, the top 10 fastest laps were between 1.47.654-1.48.774 - and that was on a greasy track surface.

Are you thinking we should all be able to do the same lap times david? I see that some have done 1.48 in the game, so it is possible to match real life somehow?

I'm the same as you though in that my best is about 1.57 ish but I'm under no illusion that it was a lap that has lots of room for improvement. In between crashes I still focus on clean laps and while doing so learn to improve my braking, lines and acceleration (which are pretty all over the place currently) but it will take time. So I guess I'm happy that my times don't match that of the worlds and GPBs elite riders. Not saying everything is perfect with the game mind but I'm starting to realise that a good setup helps me help myself  :)

My friend Jester plays GPB and MXB using the built-in tilt of a PS4 controller and he seems happy with it but he had to use a programmable adaptor to get it working as he wanted.
I'm trying to get analogue rider lean in MXB and it sounds like this might do it. I want to strap something to my chest and have the virtual rider lean when I do. I've played with this on my phone which works ok but I need my phone for other stuff and it's a bit much to strap it horizontally to my chest, this little device looks ideal though  :)

Trying to fully understand the potential of this device but am I right in thinking it could be used as input controls?

Pibs said you can load MXB track into WRS, but we've yet to get our hands on the Rallycross track in the latest video.

It's alive!!  8) lol Looks amazing man. If it's working in-game what's the input controller side of things relate to?

General Discussion / Re: Noob greetings....

Hi capeD and welcome.

Get a set of handle bars or a similarly shaped object and gaffa tape/cable tie it to the bottom of your G27 wheel then set the wheel to a low rotation and hit the track ;) Only thing to get used to then is the foot controls for throttle and brake.

On sim side, iRacing, rFactor2 and Assetto Corsa do not require x64 for example.

If I remember correctly Rfactor2 had to do a 64bit version to allow for some mods that needed the extra memory space, but it's not exclusively 64bit.

I will be talking to Andy about the next PROJECT and just looking and driving Pcars makes me feel like a 12 year old kid watching miss Manson stand over a that air vent and losing her skirt!
Would that be Marylin Manson ? :) :)
