i think gp bikes looks better than all other motorcycle games like motogp sbk etc they all look weird to me,gpbikes looks more solid more real graphics wise if that makes any sense, even though all i read is that its dated i prefer it,and i think it has better sound by far wich i think is as important as graphics, and it runs on most pc unlike games mentioned above,my opinion

Hmmm. Well then I guess no one has been using them? And while normals are good I would love to get some bump / displacement maps on there...

Small details like tire tread  wear when the tires are starting to melt to proper temps would be nice

Seriously... Have you ever started GP Bikes beta4?  ::)
Is this some kind of joke?

+1

When I prepare a new bike for GPBikes, I use normal map and the shaders to simulate mat effect, reflection effect and specular effect.

For the wet tyres, it's possible to use bump map but I don't know how exported 2 types, or more, of tyres in one export.

Piboso I would be very interested if you could explain us how to export tyres  (rim/rim_blur/side_texture/side_frame/compound) All this stuff are unknow for me.

As for me at this moment the most necessary graphical feature is AO (Ambient Occlusion).
