Cheezus, I'm really not a car guy: now I can't change gears with any car except the RX. I see the driver's hands move but nothing happens   :-[

The "gear button" must be pressed for the following gear changes:
N -> 1
1 -> N
N -> R
R -> N

Probably many newcomers don't know about this, preventing WRS from getting more popular :(

Ah thanks ! I guess this is how it is really supposed to work (at least on some cars).

Maybe a message (overlay) when exiting the pits could help (only 1st time in a session).

Something like "Press TAB for shifting from/to neutral".

Brake lights are supported.
It is possible to set the texture name using "brakelights" in the gfx.cfg file, under the "chassis" section ( like rainlight ).

I just did some tests with the F3000 at Victoria.

I was surprised about the car's behaviour if you don't stay in the range 4-6 for rear camber.
If you choose any other value, you can't control the F3000 anymore.

I've testet with different setups, also the default setup.

For a short test: use the default setup and only change rear camber to 2 or 8 and you'll feel it.
I'd expected a different tyre wear but not loosing complete control.

There is a caveat about setups:

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Beta7 will simulate the car in the garage background to display a readout of camber, caster, toe and ride height.

Thank you for clearing, I have read your post but didn't think of it when testing setups. ::)

Curious about the Dirt track in the Beta 6 video? I installed Beta 6 but didn't see the dirt track that looks like it's from MX Bikes.

Pibs said you can load MXB track into WRS, but we've yet to get our hands on the Rallycross track in the latest video.

I tried quickly the Practice and Enduro tracks and they worked fine. Th Club track however had serious problems: FPS down to 8 (from usual 80-100 or more), freezes, crash, ...

Anybody has the same thing ?

What car and track?
Could you please write the specifications of the hardware used?

After a couple of laps with each car, here my personal impression.

- All cars have been developped in a positive direction
- F2000 and GT are very easy to drive and both are good for online competition
- The F3000 is a beast as always, fun and hard to control at the limit. At some tracks (e.g Dijon) the rear is acting unstable and FFB forces are reducing in a strange way at some corners (G27). Maybe it's my setup or the track, I'll test a bit more at the WE.
- RX also isn't easy to control but better than the beta5 version

I'm still far away from my beta5 hotlap times. After my first misguided setups, I didn't touch camber, caster, toe and right height for the tests.;) Maybe I'll find time at the WE to go the stony way and optimise my setups using the debug mode.

And most important a big THANK YOU @PiBoSo because you're still spending a lot of time for WRS despite no money comes back.:) :)
