Delayed core.exe crash for my mate

He uses the demo, pops in to play, gets out of the pits and after a few attempts to cover some distance the game cores out.  I suggested adding additional rules for virus scanner exclusions and doing the LAA hack, any other thoughts on this?  Hopefully those two fix it but if not what other solutions are there?
