Knee drag output

I'm making haptic feedback "knee pucks" and it seems that different bikes have different lean limits when the knee drag sound is played, so instead of setting a fixed lean angle I would like to be able to map them to a "knee drag" value (0 = no knee drag, 1-255 linear increase) in the .dlo
I had to try..

Is it a sound for knee drag ? I never heard it ^^ maybe I never reach the ground so :) but yes will be good to have a trigger when the knee is on the ground to have haptic feedback :)

There is a sound, it's like a scraping noise.
I've never heard it on the modern type 1 and 2 riders however, just the standard one.
I hold down the lean back button when going around some corners, as the knees stick out further and make it scrape a little easier.
Try this with the standard piboso modern rider at the MG hairpin, with the R3, on Victoria and you'll hear it. I use it to make sure I don't over lean and lose the front occasionally.

Oh ok, That's why I never heard it I use modern style (is very really a difference between them ?) I will try the standard one to check that :) I am using DS2 so I am not sure that will help but it can be fun :)

Make sure it's the actual rider you use, the riding style doesn't seem to make a difference, as long as knee gets down

I get the sound and use Monern but it is quite quiet. Could do with it being louder and ffb lol

Wonder if it's editable in the cfgs?

doubledragoncc

Bike volume can be edited in cfg so it must be somewhere...........Piboso?

So I tried with normal rider and yest it is very quiet. I did not pay attention before because of that.So yes I think it would be somewhere..but where ?...

Myst1cPrun3

It's louder in 1p view, and I'd guess in the rider cfgs for the volume adjust. Not sure if you'd have to decompile the files though before doing this. Will have a loog when I get home as its a useful tool, particularly on bends that are easy to lose the front at

doubledragoncc

I love the sound it lets you know your there but is tooooo quiet so yeah hope to find its cfg code too

Anyone Know how the Modern 1 and Modern 2 Rider models were made?
Wondering if it'd be possible to de-crypt those and see the other files that are in there, when they're not just a text document of dingbats, hence hopefully finding the sounds.

C:\GP Bikes15\gpbikes\effects\sounds\sets\misc.cfg

knee_sliders
{
wav = scrape_concrete.wav
min_distance = 0.1
}

modify min_distance for volume effect
wav is in C:\GP Bikes15\gpbikes\effects\sounds

I can't find an "effects" folder.. Should I be looking some other place than the install folder?
