Hardcore server option......

I would like to see an optional hardcore setting for GPB in the server script to allow a server admin to disallow the respawn of a crashed bike. This would only apply during qualy and race sessions.

• If a rider crashes in qualy he is respawned back into the garage or pits to enable them to go out again.
  
• If a rider crashes in a race it's end of the race for him and he is taken to the live replay screen so they can watch the rest of the race on live replay if they wish to do so.
  
• For practice sessions the respawn would be on the normal default setting allowing the resetting of the bike on track as usual.

Remember. This would only be an optional hardcore server script setting(for use only by the server admin) for those that want to learn to race a whole race event without crashing. Plus I think it would stop the kamakazi attitude of going hell for leather knowing that if you crash then you can just respawn your bike back on track and continue, which to me stinks of arcadia and doesn't promote real racing mental aptitudes.
This would also promote good rider attitudes on track as well as consistent riding practices.

If we want real then surely this must be made available as an optional server script setting? Plus it would be SO much fun too!

Brilliant idea H. I only try to complete the race as priority without crashing. Once I get better I can push to get better places. I prefer to think it is a real race and therefore if I crash through my own fault I accept that I am out of the race and need to learn to ride better. IF however I am taken out by another riders careless riding, I will not be a happy bunny lol.

It might cause a few pitlane punchups lol Oh hello J and BH!!!

Also, maybe the ability to mute on track riders and have the pits chat only seen in the garage.

Like if you where on track there wouldn't be a chat box apearing at the top of the screen. But if you were in the garage you could see the chat.

I know many are like myself about being distracted from riding by text and voice chat and these are good ideas. I would also like to have the choice to have voice chat (in pits ONLY) and if there are Teams who wish to communicate while riding for strategy between each other only it would be good. I HATE typing, and it is a pain to have to have a keyboard about all the time lol.

I know in real life there is no bike to bike coms, but at the moment with bad sound and not really knowing where someone is around you allowing simple, "on your left DD" would let me know someone wants to pass me on the left as I am slower and its fair both ways. This works great in club racing in The Pcars club Im with and makes it more enjoyable due to fewer stupid crashes.

It is about a compromise from reality to making the sim as real as possible, but also making it a usable and fun sim as apposed to a stress to ride in it.

A hardcore server option for all that has been said on this thread so far makes much sense. Being able to block anything annoying and having to really ride balls out but with the added fact that if you crash your out would make GPB much more realistic and enjoyable.

No matter if I am playing GPB or GTAV, I always try not to crash as I would in real life. It is far more satisfying to finish without a crash than crash 5 times and win, that aint real!!!

I agree Hawk it would be a nice touch.

I have only finished ONE race so far without a fall (I know tell me about it) so not sure I would enjoy personally, it but I am all for the idea.
