External bike view question?

Hi all,

So i use on board view 95% of the time, however i like to use the external view from time to time.
My question is... how do i pan the view around the bike while in external view? I use a Xbox one controller.
Under the simulation tab i have selected 'joystick' under free view options... however this just seems to turn his head (using right stick on the controller) and not pan around the bike?
Has anyone info on what i can do?

Firstly: Rather stick to the on board view. It's better. 3rd person for is for pussies, haha.
Secondly: It's not possible to pan around the rider unless you're using a VR headset. You can only look behind you.

Sorted.. yes onboard all the way! The external was just to admire the bikes and so on. Thank you for the reply!
