been mostly painting these last few days as my ISP usually seems to run out of steam the last few days of each month, making anything online-oriented quite problematic.

DOC, can I give you a tip please

The 990 has a tech problem with the amount of paints in its folder and we are at that limit so making new ones means until Pib sorts it out many paints cant be used..............................

Just dont want you to do all the work and it cant be used by folks who already hit the limit of paints for 990 and dont want to lose any

thanks for the tip, mate - i had no clue about that.
okay, no worries - i wasn't doing any more for the murasama just yet, anyway.   
btw, am i the only one who thinks this RC990 has way too much power, specifically the way it comes on in 5th and even 6th gear?
sometimes it just suddenly revs its bollocks off and wheelies when i can't see that any real bike could behave like that....
a two-stroke, yes, but not a four-stroke, and not in such a high gear at high speed already, it just doesn't seem quite right ....

I have not ridden the 990 all year!!!.....................cant remember having that problem, will check it out.

it's a weird one, usually happens for example after a few laps around Victoria, just coming through the fast final corner onto the straight, and suddenly it picks up revs like there's no tomorrow and can flip if i'm not quick enough.
it's like it suddenly gets a whole lot of extra power that wasn't there the few laps before..... ?
maybe it's a tyre-related thing, i'm not sure....
