Negative.. graphics settings maxed out... underload, no overclock on my R9 290 temp 52 C.. I7-4790K CPU
Asus motherboard with 5-way optimization. CPU overclock to 4.6 temp 33 C
Like I said. GPU fan will only spin up to 50% stock
Can't keep up with the cooling required.
Using MSI afterburners or Cam free PC monitor to create custom GPU fan profile was I able to keep GPU temp under control

Hey DC you made it man, great to have you here

Sorry for off topic lol

For got to mention. Only using 60 hz TV. So frame rate set to 60 fps through AMD Crimson. My frame rate holds constant 60 fps. If I take frame rate cap off . My frame rate jump to 75 fps

Well good luck with the fan noise then :)

Capping at 60Hz is not a good idea, unless you really need to save power/heat/fan noise.

My case has 3 filtered fans pulling air in, and3 fans exhausting including GPU fan.
Why would you push your graphics card fps beyond what your monitor is capable?
Your lack of wisdom coming through loud and clear

Dented_Can

Fan does not need to run continuously at 90%
Your merely creating a profile to allow for your GPU fan to run up to 90%, instead of the stock 50%
MSI afterburner or Cam PC monitor are both free.
Cost you nothing to try
