Yeah Piboso, get right on that would ya, lol.....  ;)
Help me, help you!

Well I and others have been calling for being able to create and MOD our own riders for a long time now. This is a good reason for it's implementation don't you think guys?

I think GP Bikes needs to be able to load different rider models. I tried last night to copy the 5b rider, then changing all the related files to o_ in front of the name. And inside the config files to put to that. But it still loads the new rider. Was trying to see if I could have the old rider and the new one. Problem is there is no menu to choose rider. You can choose helmet, suit, etc. But you can't choose the rider. So even if we make new animations it would be all for the current rider. Which isn't bad just no one of choosing a different riders look.

If we could have both the new rider and the old rider as options would be very nice.

I was able to make a new rider style listed but it didn't do any of the old animations. The rider sat on the bike but didn't move his arms, or interact at all.

Without being able to choose riding style and rider itself. You'd have a old school big with always a modern rider on it.

The original rider should be added back to GP Bikes and a drop down for changing the rider model.

I personally see some interest in having multiple riding styles, but this is 90% (if not 100%) eye candy to me.
If the new rider has some serious flaws, then it' better to fix them than asking to bring the old rider back, no ?

Hey Max, I was a motorcycle medical courier for 7 years and it was a wild ride dude. A London Motorcycle Courier riding style would be fun, deadly but fun lol

Bring the old rider back as an optional choice(as the old rider had a more old school style), fix the new rider, but at the same time allow us to implement our own MOD riders, and also use a common animation format that is used by Maya or 3DS Max. I'd really like to know what 3D/animation app used and exports the .anm format?

Here's a little info I found while trying to find software that will open a .anm file:
As far as we know, this .anm file type can't be converted to any other file format. This is usually the case of system, configuration, temporary, or data files containing data exclusive to only one software and used for its own purposes. Also some proprietary or closed file formats cannot be converted to more common file types in order to protect the intellectual property of the developer, which is for example the case of some DRM-protected multimedia files.

It would be easy to create a rider and animate him, but what we need is any details for implementation and an exporter to GPB( for Maya as well as 3ds Max would be useful.  ;) )

I remember one old game (i think it was tourist trophy) that u could adjust all aspects of riding .. i think that would be cool

All fine, but this could be a significant development effort for Piboso. I'd rather sort the physics (and the online/offline crashes) out before having moddable rider animations.

Look what we have with moddable bikes: plenty of bikes now, but the physics still need work. And at every new beta, the modders are in for extra work to (try to) adapt.

Wrong planning in my book.

Im with you on that Max. I ride the bike, l dont have time to look at pretty rider animations!!! Surely the bike physics and core crashes are far more important to make this sim work properly and sell better because of it.

That would be perfect for people like me who cant do any modding whatsoever..

The new rider is growing on me.. Couple of things could do with a tweak here and there but the overall style isnt a problem for me.. He looks like a stocky road racer on the 600s lol. In the corners its like michael rutter style.. Anyway I dont really look to often.

Im more concerned that his broken arm might be causing some instabillity?

Klax75

He looks super huge on the 125cc.
