Don't know what to suggest.

not an immediate problem anyway we have V0.94 for the race if need be. We know the race session is OK. Flags still show even without marshalls.

PS: Don't worry about the sudden view movements that's a function of Corner Anticipation and going the wrong way.

3ds max 2010 32bit

I have 3ds Max 2010 too; I use it for exporting max files to Maya. So that's not the problem

But the Hengelo source file is still crashing when exported from max to Maya for some reason(never had that before other than when exporting from a later version of max) so unfortunately there is not a lot I can do to help by looking at the source files.  :(

So I'm presuming the V0.94 works okay without any frame drops? It's just V0.95 that drops frames badly at certain sections?
I'm just wondering if it's because every object in the scene is set to be collidable? But then I'm presuming it was same for V0.94 too? So I don't think that can be the problem? Though it's not as optimised as it could be by doing it that way.

The only other thing I can suggest trying, is to take out all the shader and 3d grass text files, also the groove file from the track folder and then test it again. If that makes the difference you'll know were the problem lies.  ;)

last version is with the the imagefiles of 0.94. hope that helps, when not ill start from 0.94 again. wont be a problem, just takes time.
i learn with every mistake i make, need to test more with other riders/hardware/configs, i think.

V0.95d works same as V0.94 to me. Just fine!  ;)

Can't say in comparison to other versions, I was busy trying to get the source files loaded in Maya without crashing.  :)
