I am trying to add a single sided stand, i looked at the 'default' scheme but i do not seem to be able to emulate it.

Does anybody know;
The correct position for the model origin?
Are any special named objects required in the 3D model?
What is the correct file structure in the game folder.

Thanks

Cool idea and very realistic for actual street bikes.

Hope you can do it. Sooooooo want to ride that bike

It looks like it should be easy to do, but like all things its undocumented. The stock bike reference a 'default' but i tried to emulate this but the game does not pick up the file.

Have patience with the bike, the texturing with shaders for all the individual parts is a big job but very nearly complete. Then i need to sort the .geom file  :(

I want to get an early Alpha release published just to test the graphical loading on different systems and multiplayer with the full bike model, after that i will create the LODs

Ask Manu. He got the Moto gp stand in game :)

Or Ricco.

As always, if the modder that succeeds in doing something "hard" (chain, gauges, stands etc) spends 10min in documenting a bit how to do it, plenty of others will benefit.

Matty, the motoGP stand is the same type as normal stand, an actual sidestand on a streetbike is attached to the bike and the bike leans over when it is resting on it. I think that is the problem???

I dont think so. I think it is a new stand, it has its own moto gp stand folder? I might be wrong and i cant check right now.

Manu's bikes have a custom stand I think.

For now i just want to add a stand suitable for a single sided swingarm where a pin goes into the rear spindle. The default one looks a bit silly with my bike at the moment.

It might be possible to 'fake' a side-stand but i am not sure if the bike could be made to lean over.

If Manu has the added folder it might be the lead i need, i will download the bikeset this evening and compare it to the default bike file structure. The stand is declared in the bike config file, i just dont seem to be able to get the game to load the new file.

Single-sided stand is surely possible, oDi did it for his SBKs and I even think some older model from Juju and JC had custom stands too (some of which single-sided)

I don't get the "bike leaning" point: the bike just sits on the stand at the specified height and position: there's no physics involved I think.

The stand folder is somewhere in misc.pkz.

Okay, my bad lol.

There was a single sided bike in GPB  beta 7 as I still have it. It was called single-arm.

Checking now.

The bike leaning is for a streetbike on its sidestand dude

Found it :

Thanks DD,
It seems i am on the right track, can you look in the bike.ini and have a look what is entered for

[showroom]
stand = default

I think this might be the bit that is causing problems.

If all this is the same as i have already tried then its special 3D object names - so i am stuffed  :(

The 996RS is a lovely model - wish it could be updated. I did not find out about it until after i started to try a model and it was the reason i converted to old 916 road bike spec for my bike.
