Groovi - hehe sounds much like my experience lol.

While I think the new respawn method is better than the old one it is soooo painful to sit in the track letting everyone go past especially when the next bike seems a long way away.  ::) Dont fall off is the way but nigh on impossible for me.

Nick i found the problem (I watched the full race and I never cut the first corner...) ;D

Soon i put a video its a strange "lag-bug" or something like that.

Never see this  :o

Guys.... I've updated the Norisring track.....

Please download to replace your current version(after you've watched your race replay's or your replay may not work on this version) - Change log and link details here: http://forum.piboso.com/index.php?topic=45.75

Hope this sorts out the track timing issues.  ;)

WOOHOO..................My first podium, feels great, had 2nd for a bit but lost it lol. No crashes at all in Race 2 and thanks to Grooveski for the setup, it was better for my hard braking I need at times lol.

I really enjoyed both races thanks Nick and Matty and MMA for all their time and hard work.

REALLY enjoyed trying to keep you behind Hawky, great fun, I have only ridden today really but did the most laps I ever have lol.

Shame about the new track being late but thank you very much Hawk for this new one. I a sure it will be even better on Sunday now.

Sorry to whoever it was that hit my back wheel in race 2 but I had to avoid that fallen rider.

See you Sunday guys, I am out for a first place now lol.

Hawk maybe it was not a timing problem look here:

I recorded the entire last lap Race 2 but the "lag or bug" (i think it is just a huge lag) is to 0:47 in the final clip there is also the freecam for understand better what happen in the final corner lol

Certainly some weird stuff going on tonight.
I did see that as in the video, bikes sat in position, juddering as I drove past, looked like race was over (thought it was) and guys just parked up.
Anyway, while the track problems are not good, the action really was. It was fun with so many bikes in close company, if you lost a battle with one rider, you gained another with the next one pretty quick. The only downside being if you crashed, but I think we all learnt from race 1 and race 2 was less crashes? Seemed to be. Must check the replay when I get home.
Also I was amazed at how quick everyone was, guess it was the easiest of tracks to learn so put most riders on a level playing field. Really good to see DD pushing hard too.
Top points to Meyer of course, although I expected him to crash more ;) and Valern with a fantastic pace.
See you guys Sunday. If you can handle the power!
Not sure I can, it's a really beast.

And thanks a bunch Hawk for looking at the track and updating, you are a star mate!

Hawk

Thanks guys..... appreciated.  ;) 8)

I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is, but it's not something that can be fixed quickly. We do have the original 3D source files but I've yet to have a look at them to see whether it's viable to sort the issue out or not. It would be a good project for someone who wishes to try their hand at updating a track for GPB.... Any takers?  ;D

Hawk, I haven't a clue. But if I knew what to do I would love to help. But even then it could take forever. (I run a business, work away often, run a full rc bike national and international calendar and have 2 grand kids :P).
But when there's a free minute, if you can teach me what to do I'd appreciate it.

Yeah i had the same weird thing happen to me a few times, once in practice and QP and then once or twice in the races, very weird! Time stopped counting and then everyone stood still shaking a little.

Haha i even expected to crash more myself! I had set myself up to be happy if i could just go at least every 2nd lap without i would be happy lol! And yeah in Practice and Valern had amazing pace! What happened in races?

Thank you Hawk for looking into the track!

Yeh I saw that frozen lag too definitely a track problem but hey ho, we can live with it for a few fun races.  I really need to start a little database with track vs known issues from now which people can also refer to for making championships etc.

Thanks to Hawk and Janau I am gradually learning more and more about track alterations and additions so will help out where I can.

Wil get the server updated to latest version later today - thanks Hawk!  :)

Terrible race for me, I was more laying on the asphalt than on two wheels.
I stopped gaming (and GP-Bikes)

I am so looking forward to the race on the new version of the track. It was so frustrating all the quirks the last version had.

It has taken me 3 months of learning from my first ever real race in GPB to get a podium finish even if only 3rd, but it was not all my own doing. I owe that podium to you ALL for the help and patience you have had in my sorry assed riding lol. This was on a 125 so not a big triumph really but it still feels great. After a lifetime of never riding small bikes in games, it was CDX who showed me they can be fun and then racing with you guys got me the bug.

I thank you all for the time and help you have given me. This is what makes GPB what it is, the best community in the world. I wish to thank Piboso for giving us this sim, the modders for all the tracks, bikes, and apps, folks like Nick,Matty and MMA for the hosting of races and I guess old Bill Gates should get a mention as its a bloody Windows game lol. Had to chuckle thinking of that one but without him we would not have a place to race at all lol.

Well I look forward to the future of racing with you guys and hope we get the rest of the motorcycle gaming world to open their eyes and come join the fun.

DD

EDIT: Oh and how many laps is the endurance race?

Nice speech after your first podium there mate!!

And the result was well deserved!! You sticked on the bike and that was what gave you the podium! You made it trough a race where almost no one else could!

You have come a far way from when you first started racing with us few months ago :)

Well done mate!!

Indeed a great job!

Race distance is, as of this moment, unknown. Some whisperings have the length in the region of 40+ laps but that cannot be confirmed or denied at  this time.  :o
