You can say its just marketing by ASUS but not when it comes to ROG m8, thats out and out the best quality for your money. New Strix cards are THE best quality and really not that much more than some of the SHIT budget products.

Go by facts too, look at the numbers. If your spending any money make it worth it, with ROG it is guaranteed.

@Toomes1: at any rate, given your goal, I'd skip the 900 series, buy whichever of the new ones you can (1060, 1070, 1080). I tend to stick to the sweet spot, so I'd go with 1060 or 1070. But again, it all depends on your budget.

EDIT: forgot to add, if you can, wait for some serious test of the newer cards before buying. Better if a comparison/roundup style. Sometimes for the very same price one brand can be a bit better than the other (e.g. in terms of noise).

John at ISR got a Gigabyte 1070 OC and it is shit even if HE thinks its okay. It has NO backplate and only 2 fans!!! Clock speeds aint as good as Strix either.

EVGA are very good on quality and warranty too.

EVGA is my second choice for a leader in hardware.

MB has to be a Maximus VIII Extreme Intel Z170 (Socket 1151) DDR4 EATX Motherboard or at least a Z170 from ROG. I used the Rampage and it was wicked bro, ask grimm, but we were running 3 GTX970's too

Z170 is best for overclocking and runs sweet no matter what.

EVGA for Power all the way. Their Gold series PSU's rock and 10 year guarantee.

Corsair Hydro water coolers are sweet too.
