I went to play gpbikes today and when I open it I get core.exe straight away, any ideas?

What version of windows and is it a demo version of GPB?

Windows 10 and full game, I was playing it last night and today it don't work I changed nothing.

So it is just when you start gpb and not try to ride or go online?

Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date and also they can have conflicts if you installed other software at all.

I am just going through the basics.

One big tip is to do an OVER INSTALL. That means install GPB again OVER the original install without uninstalling it.

There are bike updates today for MotoGP and Ducati 916 and if you try to join my servers there would be a problem without the updates

Try the over install first and then see what happens.

Still core.exe no matter what I do think my gpbikes is over

Completley unistall the game.

Delet the Piboso folder from My Documents.

Check/re-install your latest graphics drivers.

Download a new version of GP Bikes and install that.

Put your existing licence in and try running the game without any MODs. Just the default bikes. If the game wont run like this then there might be a problem with your computer.

If that works, then start adding bikes to see what causes the crash. Then start adding tracks. And repeat.

It might seem a little extreme but it is just trouble shooting

Anything in the updates history? This has been a cause of issues in the past and not just for GPB

I have had not one problem with LOSE10 oh I mean WIN10 hehe so I really cant help on that side.

Try also to run CClean and make sure the registry is cleaned of GPB entries too

Get a BIGGER hammer

Kick the PC or stroke it nicely, it depends what kind of PC she is!!!

GPB runs fine on Windows 10 (aparently)

Mods can cause major issues if not installed correctly or have missing/corrupt parts. Check these before anything else.

Also remember that it is best not to do any of the above if you are drunk as a skunk or under the influence of drugs!!!

A simple wrong click of the mouse and GPB is fooked!!!

Finally I fixed it! once I deleted the Piboso file like Matty said and then done a fresh install, it is now working thanks for all the help.

If you do get problems later the OVER INSTALL is very useful and fixes many small problems.

A few things to keep in mind:

The 990 has a limit on the amount of paints it can have in the folder, try to keep it under 100!!! You will know if you have a problem if changing bikes after riding the 990 GPB crashes right away.

It is better to use HOST LOCAL to practice alone instead of TESTING, even if you have no internet. It will reduce core crash problems with tracks.
