Well,  im glad you guys like the sound, but its not even close to what i would like it to be, i get a depression each time i try to make a sound  ;D.
Please Santa Claus bring us good samples this year, we have been good boys   :)

About limiter, yes is a shame we cant add rpm lights to these models. One day, when we decide to remodel the bikes... :P

Urban Chaos 2.0

What would happen if you simply replaced the the sound file for the highest rpm with that of an engine bouncing off the limiter? How many audio files are you able to make available for a bike?

Warlock

You can add as many samples as you want, of course you have to edit the .scl file accordingly.
The limiter sound could be a possibility.

Sure you can try m8.
Sound files wont give any mismatch error, so you are free to try what you like  ;)

Todays BikeMod Release (HERE) sees a small update to the STOCK 2014 Bikeset.

Since Beta 7/8 the off-track grip levels were reduced to a level considered too little (as fed back). To compensate all CAWS bikes have a slight increase in grip on non-track surfaces to avoid undue frustration when trying to rejoin from an off-track position.

We hope you like the changes and all feedback is warmly received.

Server hosts are asked to update their servers with the latest BIKEMOD version.

Problem carried over from another topic:

Awesome stuff bro. Thanks for the decent response.

As for the STK CBR1000RR: Tyre behaviour is definitely worse than the other bikes. It feels like the front tyre is ice cold, and grip levels are quite bad. You can't even make relatively small lean angles in many cases. Front is always trying to fold.

We are testing on the CAWS/VICTORIA/STK1000 server NOW. All are welcome to come and replicate the problem please to help

Problem report update:

1. Well we did a WinMerge file check against all tyres/bikes and no anomalies as to grip levels. Quick checks of tyre
2. Then had a Victoria session for all with 3 CAWS riders and 2 independants.
3. Tried default, 'wacky' and normal setups for this track .

Notes:
1. No clutch slippage was noticed
2. Tyres are no different as far as grip is concerned compared to the other bikes.

Conclusion (not final of course, but we need more evidence to support further tests) :
1. No problems specific to that highlighted seen in this testing day.
2. However - a slightly cool rear tyre was noticed by two riders (55 degrees being common) We will keep our eye on this to see if the heating factor needs adjusting.

Thoughts:
Don't get upset these are just thoughts....
1. Dirty Tyres will give less grip and might also give a feeling of clutch slip - Any off track bonanzas?
2. Overheated tyres will give less grip and might also give a feeling of clutch slip and random washouts - Any falls prior to problem? (Note that there is a known (and reported) issue with the tyres not cooling off quick enough after a fall we hope will be resolved in a future Beta.
3. The Honda has its own characteristic, and is a strong motor (reliability), only reasonable to high power and has 'lively' handling. It can be a handful trying to keep up with the Beemer  :D

Anyways, we are always open to more feedback on this matter or about any other bike. :)

Wait, I thought the Honda has not so many hp in real life, or am I mixing something?

Probably my bad explanation.

When I say it "Only has reasonable to high power" I mean it hasn't got "high to extreme power" lol. Maybe i should of said it only has 'average' power.

So yes you are right  :D

The engine maps are replicas of dyno readouts from each of the bikes so they should be realistic as possible

Special prize if you can guess where the zx10 Dyno is hiding.

Thanks for looking at it. Here's the thing:

1) If you take the CBR1000RR to a track like Portimao for example, you'll see the difference in grip levels when compared to the YZF R1. I feel it's too great to make sense.

2) If you quick shift into 4th or fifth gear at low speed, and work your way up to 10K RPM, you'll definitely notice the clutch slipping. Note that I play with automatic clutch disabled.
