That sort of information has been available for years now, long before the question of the UK leaving the EU was even conceived! Lol

The only issue up for debate now is whether the police can access that information whenever they want rather than having to seek a court warrant to do so.

But yet again, this is the persistent on-going typical twisted reasoning of EU remainers to try and blame it on the UK leaving the EU..... And yet they still try and latch onto anything to blame the brexit vote for these type of proposals being put forward....... When will the "Remoaners" finally accept the UK's democratic vote to leave the EU and shut up and get on with it because contrary to what they really want they are not going to change the decision or the outcome of leaving the EU single market! Freedom of movement throughout the EU is all they are concerned about.... All this bullsh*t about job loses etc, etc is just a cover argument to try and get their way, and like all the doom and gloom predictions from so called expert institutions, none have proved correct..... It's pathetic!
But there were a lot more important issues to take into consideration than just the freedom of movement for these people considering the crap decisions and directives the EU commission have us ruled by..... You even had students voting to remain just because of the thought of not being able to freely travel around Europe anytime they pleased without getting a visa first! I mean what good reason is that to vote remain! A lot more important issues than that to have considered first. Jesus Christ! Maybe we should think about raising the voting age to 25 years old to make sure we get a deeper more mature vote come election times? :o

It's just pathetic, it really is to see grown so called professional adults(EU Remainers) acting like big kids throwing their toys out of their prams just because the democratic vote went against their wishes. But thank God finally the real ordinary working people in the UK got off their arses and voted for what they really wanted in the EU referendum and stuck it to the establishment(the financial pencil pushing prats and media journalists in this country).  ;D ;D

Very true... Then we saw the light, though most of the countries we gave back to the people could probably do with some British rule again. Hehe!  ;D

Hawk, set aside all the EU stuff, do you really think what you're about to promote to the status of *law* is a good thing ?

Because if your answer is yes, then well ... you just deserve it.

Absolutely not mate... I'm just saying that I hate this attitude the "Remoaners" have to blame everything on the UK's decision to leave the EU, including this law they want to bring in. But certainly this law is not good for peoples right to privacy.

So why the whole tirade ? The EU angle to the message is just a funny one, as in the EU such a law would not stand.

But the whole problem brought by such laws stands. On the right side of the channel, luckily for us :)

Why the tirade? Because all I hear these days on the news(especially "Sky News") is moaning about coming out of the EU and idiot so called experts telling us how bad it's going to be(as if they know anything in reality). Even in that article they were implying that it's because we voted to exit the EU; that's why the tirade on the EU topic.  :)

They were not implying what you said. They made an accurate statement saying that within the EU that would not be possible and UK people could appeal that.
Now, out of the EU, you're on your own about that kind of decisions.

About how bad it's going to be don't worry, we're gonna find out that relatively soon.

The UK people can still get a decision like that overturned by going to court, especially if the new proposed law was not part of the governments manifesto; we don't need to be a part of the EU to do that sort of thing.

But the first port of call for getting that proposal slapped down would be to make sure we lobby our local MP's to try and make sure they vote against this proposal..... This is what a peoples government and democracy is about unlike the unelected dictatorship of the EU Commission.  :P  :)

Yeah, right. Were you even aware about that ?

Yeah, right. Were you even aware about that ?

The fact is, the UK doesn't need an EU court to defend the people of the UK(we have our own courts for that), and to suggest that just because we're coming out of the EU that the UK is venerable to this sort of thing is quite frankly an insult to the people of the UK. We don't need dictating to by any EU court or EU governing body. Period. That's what the referendum was won for, to get rid of crappy EU interference and good ridden to it all. Lol.   :)
