How to convert Asseto Corsa's track to GPBikes?

I wanna convert a track from AC to GPB. I have a permission from the author of the track. Maybe someone can help me or give me tutorials how to do it. Thanks in advance  :)

Can someone please point this guy in the right direction?  I am interested in learning how to do this as well. We can all use more modders.

Download 3DsimED and convert the AC track for your 3d software.

After this check for some tutorial in the Piboso wiki and in this section for import it in GP Bikes.

What BH said.

First get permission from the original Content owner (i know we go on about it, Just live with it :P )
Download 3DsimED (30 day free trial and then its cheap to buy if you want to keep modding, it is a great tool to have)
Open the tracks .kn5 file and export the track models
Open the exported track model
Follow Piboso wiki for the correct naming of objects
Export as .fbx
convert using FBX2EDF
Then follow the normal procedure for getting the models in game.

Here's a handy little thing.  Fire it up, scroll down, find the two PCGuard 4+ keys and delete them.

In the track I'm converting there are several KN files, do I need to export them all to 3ds files and then merge them together in 3DS, do I just do the main track? Theyre trees and Auxillary stuff i think

Missing trees may mean the track is from a game that uses instancing.
...meaning the game is placing the trees, etc during loading(or on-the-fly - I don't know the details of how it works).
But they aren't actually part of the model - they're external references.
...so you'd have to replant them.

The Grid and Dirt series work like that and there's bound to be others too.  Any game using Speedtree(moving 3d trees) is probably the same.

Of course if these KN files are models then yeah - go for it - convert and combine.  :)

...but they might just be configuration files for instancing(place this tree model here - rotate by so much - scale so many percent, blah, blah).

whenever I load the tree and crowd kn files they all seem to follow the profile of the track so I'm guessing overlaying them would be sufficient as they seem fixed to me. Jw if that was what was needed thats all. thanks  :)
