My thoughts on this  - why don't we make it a 3 race event? CB250 then maybe MV Agusta and then GP1000 or something?

If everyone is on a slow bike maybe I can beat you for once

I'm sure you guys would like to have a nice slipstream event ;)
Because of the length of the track and the slow bike 8 laps is about 25-30 minutes of racetime.
So 7-8 laps I think would be good.

Well I put a little server up for testing it.  Seems very difficult to get round without a fall! Lol. 3 minute laps but would be a lot of fun with a lot of racers.

Count me in for sure, Borenlater!  ;D 8) 8)

The multi-bike event would be better though in my opinion.  ;)

Monza is awesome so I would take part for sure.. But not on the dream cup bike... I like speed!  ;D count me in if u run 1000s/600s too though!  ;)

Instead of the GP1000 it could change into SSP600? I participate in all the races anyway  ;)

P.S. The skin pack should be updated every race, "forcing" people to post their own skins used in the race.

Well the MV was the 600 really, to be honest I am beginning to HATE putting races up with the SSP600 category even if they are great bikes, as nobody has any self respect ( :P) and really the 600 category might as well just have 2 bikes in it. What's the point?

Give something different a run out I say.....but whatever you guys want, majority rules.

Not even for a few laps fun to give Boeren a half chance? You never know you might enjoy it? Personally I envision 10 people all slipstreaming to get to the front and the lead constantly changing. Right laugh!

Personally I want to use the 600 to use my personal skin, unfortunately I do not have time to create one for each bike XD

People use the bike that he likes most to drive not only the fastest ... my times were better in the last race with Yamaha ...

I think people ride whatever bike is the most stable for the event track. Personally speaking I'm buggered if I'm going to ride an unstable bike just so that there is a variety of different bikes on show.  :)

Seems to me that there is still plenty of work to do on some of these BikeMODS physics files.... Maybe it would be a good idea if the creators of the BikeMODS actually finalized their bikes physics before starting work on other projects?  :P  :)

Well I don't want to steal Boerens thread with this discussion its just the way I feel. Basically everyone rides the same two bikes every time the SSPs are chosen which is bad from a bike point of view and a human morals point of view too lol.

Everyone has to choose the bike they want, why chose a bike that sucks? I saw in the last race with the CBR you retired immediately, it does not seem very funny.  :o

The bike had nothing to do with it. None of the bikes 'suck' in my opinion. Ride whatever makes you happy.

Sorry Matty, I just have not got the time to be making a personal bike skin for every bike we use(different bikes for every event)... If it was a set single bike in a champs that would be a different matter.  ;) 8)

Do you have the Dream Cup as a category in game?

The Dream Cup is in Matty's but not in Klaxs - that first post and title "Bike mod revived"needs amending so people don't use it anymore. Hopefully @Klax75 or @Walken can do this please.

I have the same problem DATA MISMATCH when i try connect to GPBOC 2 server. I can join to Server 1 "CRAFTY CROFT" without problem.

On the list of categories available on the server GPBOC 2 is the Dream cup - I do not have this category in my game.

The dream Cup bike is not in the ALL IN ONE FOLDER of the BIKEMOD (it is available for individual DL on your Mega site) .  Is this because it is not finished or something? Causing some problemos here for peeps.

Thats a tricky one as Yohjo has requested it not tp be included in the bike mod for now. I can speak to him about it but for now it will have to stay as is. (Dont want to upset content creators just yet :P)

It maybe slow, but it's a lot easier to handle than the faster bikes(great for the new riders to have a chance), especially in close quarter battles and will be great fun slipstreaming too.

The fun with the CBR250 is when you are riding with a lot of other riders on track at the same time.... Riding alone on Monza with the CBR250 is I can imagine a very boring affair indeed, but if we can manage to get a large grid of riders for this event then that won't happen.  ;D

Wow the server has been busy today with practice sessions. As GPBOC 2 doesn't update to the HL server here are the practice times so far:

CB250R - Hawk and Boeren looking favourites (Yan struggling with the powerrrr)

GP500 - Oh eck.

I would also like to know how you guys got those speeds out of that 250. I was wringing its neck at 92! I must be very slow out of the corner that leads to the straight with the speed trap on it too!  ??? :-\ :'( ;D

To ease the last minute stress, tonight's race servers are now set up.

They are whitelisted  in accordance with the sign up list.

Sign-up for this event closes strictly at 1900CET.

Take the Parabolica as fast as possible and with the right gearing you can reach 153km/95m

Yeah they must be taking the "Parabolica" at a higher speed(my max at the moment is 95MPH, but LOOPA is getting 105MPH at the speed trap)..... But I've noticed that on certain corners with the CBR250, a few corners that you should be able to take flat out the front end washes out. I need to do more practice to confidently find the corners and lines that I can go flat out and those I cannot.

But I can only presume that the really fast guys have not done many practice laps on the CBR, and as Borenlater has suggested, the likes of Yan, Davide, Loopa, etc, etc will soon be posting laps of minus 3 mins. Lol

Edit: I'm pretty sure I know how some riders are showing such a high speed through the speed trap - They are slipstreaming another rider down the main straight. I should've thought about that earlier. Lol  ;D

Great fun fellas, my race ruined in GP500 from 3rd cos I fell and got respawn death over and over and a runaway bike blah blah blah.  Same old same old.

Fortunately by giving my engine some tender loving care it didn't break on me and by not being tight with the fuel ( I know it costs a bit nowadays ) I got all the way to the end and managed 4th by sheer determination lol  ;D

Found the CBR250 race fun too - it was good race craft practice! Thanks Boeren!

Now with my organiser head on I will ask that people try to wait until everyone reaches the end of the race before popping the champagne, whooping their congratulations and spam chatting.  Tonight the leaders had drunk the booze, run off with the trophy and actually left the server before some guys had actually finished  >:( :( No fair,  :'(
