Hm. Testing nearly 1h offline - no core problems.
Running online for 2.5 laps - core error.

That's a shame because the new beta is so much fun. Lookin' forward to a fix!

Impossible ride online today... Core every lap...  Not just me.

Yes. Guess we've been on the same server recently.

Like a lot about the update. Only really seems to be core.exe . Only been testing with default bikes on stock track.

I think modded tracks and bikes need to be updated. This doesn't suprise me that much cause looking at the changelog lots of things involving trackdata and bikedata have been modified. So I don't get why people keep mocking about addons not working yet. Anyway. Good thing is that helmets still do as far as I've checked the beta6c helmet models (AGV, Shark, Scorpio and so on).

Would be better to keep it simple for now.. No? Use the default bikes until we know more?

Yeah, might be the best way so far.

I am pretty happy with beta 7 for now. Good work to me. As Piboso already mentioned maybe a little to less despite the long waiting time but anyway. Still nice (SMOOKE, yeah!! ).

Two little questions I have:

- I jusr coppied my license file from beta 6c to beta 7: is that the right way to do it.
- Seems like I cannot connect to online races: getting a "missing bike" message. Or are thoe servers still using beta 6c?

Cheers!

P.S.: Beta 6c helmets seem to be working with no problems.

Good link, an interesting read and, at the end of the day, the only opinion that counts (Race Director).

Seems he says the same, right or wrong - no penalty because no 'rule' broken.

Agree.

On German website motorsport-total.com there's a quote from the race director saying that race direction agrees Marc is slowing Rossi on purpose. But also there is no rule that can be used against Marc's driving. Can see it here: http://www.motorsport-total.com/motorrad/news/2015/10/rossi-vs-marquez-das-sagt-die-rennleitung-15102507.html

Use google-translator, if that's not woorking out I can do the translation. Otherwise there are some other fellow countrymen around here ;) .

Like I said inside the other thread I am a Rossi-fan. Also do not like Marc's behaviour. But I can see his point. As a fan of VR46 I hate. But honestly as a rider I might copy Marc's style in some ways. Acctually been doing this occasionally during Kart racing years ago.

Got a sniff of this topic this morning and had to resist the forum until I had chance to catch up watching a live recording.

Thank you all sooo much for not giving the result away in the thread or the title but yet providing some added pre-race mystery from the snippets I glanced.  ;D!

You guys have said it all I have nothing to add really. All I can suggest is we, the spectators, are all winning with the drama really.  8)

PS: What with our Danny Kent maybe about to step into Barry Sheenes footsteps, this season has been one of the best so far for me and may have a fantastic climax.

Yes, Man!

You're welcome. Me too happy to have a place for a good discussion filled with lots of knwoledge.

Danny Kent might be worth another thread. To be short: I've made a bet withe friends saturday after qualifying. If Danny doesn't do it this year, he'll never be (like Bradl and Cortese - a season that fits perfectly). Hope he'll clinch it. So deserved!
It's entertainment.. and its entertaining!

I've already posted my response on page two. That's my opinion.

But: after hours for calming down - isn't that why we are watching the sport? Fire and controversy.

I've been watching the race on BT Sports 2 today. James Toseland was at the studio giving interessting statements. One of them was like this: they were at slow speed. No risk for live. It still is unfair. But neither of those two would have done that at higher speeds.

Remeber Biaggi vs. Rossi in 1999. Remember Gibernau vs. Rossi Jerez 2004. Or Doohan vs. Cirivlie at Jerez, too. Also the (still) young Marquez in Moto2 (e.g.: vs Luthi at Quatar). We love AND hate those riders for their sometimes even not good behaviour. Have a look at F1 - they bore everyone to sleep. Yes, Rossi (who still is my hero) needs to be penalized harder. But - without those moves and topics to talk about the sport would be something different. Maybe (imo) more boring.

Again: today everything got out of control and i personally do not want to see that agin. But like Dani said after the race they need to be racing more calm but still hard.

Guess everybody needs to calm down. Rossi, Marc, Jorge, the fans.

Marc already has and will continue a great career, Vale had a fantastic one as well. The situation from last thursday up to today wasn't the greatest one for both of them. My guess is that two years from now most will be forgotten. That's part of the sport. Like sent offs in soccer. Not the best ones but a part.

Hey Guys!

Oh what a weekend it was. All started out on Thursday and got out of control.
What to say? I do understand and share most of your points here.

I am a big VR46 fan. But this move today way not on the edge - it was over the top. So I think there can only be one side concerning this move. But what we have seen were two of the greatest of the sport getting carried away by their emotions. And that was the problem. Yeah, I agree that fighting that hard with a 90 point deficit might be lack of respect. But if you can't get rid of a rider than you are not the faster one. MM should been calmer and possibly step back a little but he still is part of the field and has a job to do.

What makes me shaking my had the most is that Rossi hurt his chances with that behavior. Finishing 4th behind MM would have decreased his lead to 3 or 4 points BUT he could have qualified normally at Velncia - still having a normal chance to race him from the start. Now he needs to finish 2nd if Lorenzo wins (what he will be) but he needs to beat the whole field on a "Go-Kart-like" track. That impossible.

Finally I would like to side with Pedrosa. I actually don't like him but he has shown the most adult and objective reaction today. He said that if the rules would be more precisely riders will not have the possibility to be racing in that way. A lot of riders in M2 and M3 get away with stupid moves. Rossi got away often with stupid moves. Remember Marc's first MGP year - he also got away with stupid moves nearly wrecking everybody. Argentina, Assen and today would not have happened if race direction had been more balanced and clearer with giving penalties.

So boys - that's my way of looking at today's race. Even as a Vale fan ;).

Bikes / Re: APRILIA RSW500

Did someone test the RSW against the Varese or NSR head to head?
I would like to know the lap time difference (maybe on Philipp Island or Mugello).
Maybe someone raced against a 500V4 and could tell the advantage and disadvantage (handling/acceleration,..) of the current model?
Could not try the RSW yet....so maybe someone can support in this case?

Basicly: I am not a good rider compared to the champs here, so I won't give you any of my embarassing laptimes :).
Also I'm not that experienced riding 2-strokes. But it is fun anyway.

Just had a short shakedown with the Varese and the Aprilia at Victoria Circuit.
I've been using the stock set up to point out the basic characteristics of the bikes. Just changed front brake laverage to 20mm and tyres to soft on both bikes.
To me the Aprilia seems to be smoother in terms of transitioning from low to medium rpms accelerating. It doesn't point the front into the air as quickly as the Varese does. So the engine is a little friendlier for the rookie me ;).
When it comes to braking the Aprilia was a little more gentle allowing more control with a defecite of brakepower. Had to engage the frontbrake a bit earlier. Riding through slow and medium speed turns the Aprilia had the tendency to understeer. It also starts to chatter at slow speed earlier than the Varese does. Exiting tunrs the Aprilia has been more comfortable to me because it's not as agressive on the rear end.

All in all the Aprilia seems a little easier to ride but that might be more because of my skill (or not having that).

I'll try some setup tweaking now to see how fast and agressive those bikes can go with me riding them.

Thanks guys.

Stupid me just had an outdated version of the Motos. Fixed everything by downloading the correct one from the given links.

But I still get a missmatch for some GP1000-servers wich might be from not having a Yamaha M1 for beta6c yet.

Apart from that everythings fine.

Thanks.

Support / Bike unknown to server / Data missmatch
April 21, 2015, 12:37:26 PM
Hi all!

New to this game and love it.

But unfortunately I'm facing some difficulties racing online.
THough I've been searching the forums I just did not find a solution for my problem.

About 85% of the time I try to connect with a server hosting Moto3 and Moto2 races I'm getting the "missmatch" or "unknown..." message.
I'm pretty sure that I have the correct mod and track.

So - what am I doing wrong or did I forget something?

I'm sorry if there's already a working thread that I missed.

Greetings,
Hustin.
