Sorry if this has been asked before, but I searched and cannot find the thread if there is one. GPB won't detect that there are any tracks installed. Yes, I tried clicking the arrows left/right and the dropdown menu incase that comes up

Just because you might think it's the right way doesn't mean it is, and just because I might think I hold it the right way definitely doesn't mean it is. Is there really a "right way" to do it when it comes to different styles? And no, there's no physical boundary I have that would stop me from holding it the "right" way.

You're overcomplicating your life man ... 2 hands, one joypad, more than enough.

If you have real foot pedals, then you can use them., it makes sense. But if you use them for shifting gears, that's really overshoot.
Even me I can manage manual clutch, throttle, front and rear brake ,lean and rider lean l/r on a single joypad (all on analog axes), plus of course gearbox up/down.

Don't knock it till you try it. For me this setup is awesome because I hold the controller weird and it solves my personal problem of being overwhelmed by all the controls. It makes everything smoother and is actually less complicated for me. For you it might suck and be the most retarded thing you've ever seen, because as you stated, you hold the controller a different way then I do, making it easier for you to use every control possible on one gamepad.

It`s just that...in all my years of simracing i have never witnessed anything like this. And boy i have seen some weird setups, but this just tops it all. So yeah, depends on how you look at it, you are a unique case that`s for sure.. 

You gotta do what you gotta do ya know? It actually feels really natural, I hope I don't start trying to downshift with my right foot on my real bike though lololol

I'm either a genius or retarded, depends on how you look at it. I have a wireless xbox controller adapter. I have two xbox controllers hooked up to it. I took a small vice I had that I never really use, and stuck my second controller in it. (Don't worry it's not clamped down in there crazy hard or anything) On the second controller, the only two controls are (Shift up; right trigger),(Shift down; left trigger). On the first controller, I have every other control but shifting. I use my feet to shift and it's actually very comfortable despite it looking like my feet are really close.

Yes, I use an Xbox 360 Controller and the foot pedals of my F430 steering wheel; just connect both to your computer and GP Bikes will recognise them both in the calibration settings for each controller.  It's just a case of assigning what controls you like to each element of the controllers to suit your preferences.

Now you got me thinking, I have two xbox controllers, maybe I could build something small and ghetto so that my feet will hit a button on the controller by my feet to shift, and then i can worry about everything else on the controller in my hands . I need to brainstorm though. Maybe I could put the controller sideways, and use the stick to shift up and down. I would need to put something on the end of the stick to make it longer so my foot could actually hit it though. I'll be right back

Oh god, that should take some getting use to. I hold my controller in a way where its awkward to use them. I'm trying right now in game to get use to it but holy shit its hard to use those fingers to shift. Every thing else is now so choppy lol.

Yeah, I've tried direct lean off but it feels sooo sluggish to me, it just makes me feel like im being limited, even though maybe im not? And I have a weird setup, my shift up is clicking in the left stick and shift down is clicking in the right stick. This makes it kind of unsmooth when shifting but thats the only way i can fit all the controls in. Maybe i should do auto left/ right lean? I just dont want to limit myself and then be at a handicap later on. I'm going to get into this game hard, and I want to be as fast as possible. I'm just wondering what assists I should keep on/ off if I want to be the fastest.

Oh man I forgot to tell you I use an xbox 360 controller, and by the way should I be using manual rider lean? Is it really even beneficial? Because since i'm limited on the buttons I can use it's kind of hard to fit all the controls. Is there any track you would recommend getting fast/ practicing on in general?

No it's at every track, honestly I think I just need to practice bringing the bike up more slowly. I've had the game for 3 days now and I understand that there's a huge learning curve. I play MX Simulator (not that its anything like gp bikes) and that game has a huge learning curve too. I'll try to hop online and ask some people if they'll help out with setups or something, thanks guys.

I'm sorry if i'm being a scrub and making myself look like an idiot but here goes... I just recently bought GP Bikes, I have direct lean on, manual left/right rider lean on. It seems like whenever I exit a corner, I always dump the front wheel and I cant figure out why. It's only if i'm at max lean, im also semi on the throttle when exiting, not rolled off but not pinned. Is the ability to not dump the front a skill that's learned? Or am I doing something wrong/noobish? If it helps i'm on the gsxr600. I'm also very confused about the entire setup deal with suspension and things like that. Online is a bit confusing for me too, maybe someone could be a bud and PM me if they wanna help? I've read the General Discussion forum post on online too, i'm still just a bit confused. Thanks, Chris
