hey guys  :)
so, after doing a fresh install for my new rig, i keep getting a core.exe crash immediately upon trying to run the game.
it's still in demo mode, i guess (haven't gotten to the point where i can enter the license.)
what i did was to remove any and all trace of PiBoSo files/folders in my Documents folder, is there somewhere else i should be checking to remove stuff?
i figured removing all traces of the game would be a clean a start as possible, but so far, no joy...
any ideas/suggestions?

Only the My Documents folder????  You need to remove from Program Files too  :o all you did was remove the Save Data

Example C:\Program Files (x86)\GP Bikes

Quote from the 'readme' file included in the game:

2. Uninstalling GP Bikes
------------------------

To uninstall simply navigate to the directory where you installed GP Bikes and delete the folder.

Optional:
To complete the uninstallation delete the GP Bikes directory in Start Menu as well as removing the desktop shortcut, if created during installation.

No further action is required as the registry was not touched during installation.

Save data is located under PiBoSo directory in "My documents".

and you read that here
Example:  C:\Program Files (x86)\GP Bikes\gpbikes\docs\readme

Hope it helps

well, i never  installed it in Program Files, but rather in C:\ Games, but yes, i removed that before reinstalling.
Also deleted the original desktop shortcut, but never created a Start menu entry, so nothing there to remove.
I'll delete the latest install and try again, anyway, and report back again....

Not deleteing the Piboso folder in your "My Documents" folder has caused problems in the past for some.

So I'd recommend deleting everything accept your tracks.

Do a CClean of your system.

Then do your fresh install and enter your license key.

Hawk.

aaand....third time the charm, i'm back in and just entering the license key. phew - thank goodness, was having nighmare visions of yet another weekend without my bike fix.
so far, so good - will post in this thread if i have any other issues.
Cheers, Hawk, appreciate the assist, mate :D

Not quite sure what you have done with your new rig, but if you have swapped out a motherboard but kept the original HD and OS install you really need to do a clean install of the OS or you will plagued by problems.

CapeDoctor

yes, it was new mobo, new cpu, the works - just old OS HD.
all sorted now, though, and busy trying to get to grips with the gamepad controller - my times with keyboard are still way faster, lol - much more practise needed :D

Windows 7 is good (in fact, excellent, compared to previous Windows versions) at being able to 'hot swop'.

However, clean install, clean install, clean install for me. I don't like sitting on timebombs lol  ;)
