I visited the company last week (based in Manlleu, Spain) and tried the CKU-28.
It's a pretty good device, yes, a bit expensive ( about 27000€).
I told the boss about GP Bikes and I think we will keep in touch about this cause I think it could be amazing.
At this time, the company and Milestone are working on MotoGP game adaptation.

"A pretty good device" - So what is it then? Does the picture drive the bike or the bike drive the picture? Is there any realism to it whatsoever? What is it intended for? Physical training/track familiarisation/fun?

Why would they want to integrate with an arcade game? 27000Euro ?All makes very little sense to me.

Thanks!

Becuase there is next to zero advertising at the moment. And people dont know about gp bikes.

But given the state of development . That might not be a bad thing.

Maybe with b7 or v1 (coming december 29th ;) :P )

No relation yet between picture and the bike, but it will have with MotoGP game adaptation.
At first, the CKU-28 was sold as a Fitness device...so not a simulator. But by the time, I think the simulator part will take over the fitness part.

Most of the clients are company who rent CKU-28 for marketing/advertising like AMV, Movistar.
Integrate MotoGP to CKU-28 would, in my opinion, give more attraction to the actual device.

Interesting stuff thank you.

27000 euro wow .  I guess my problem with all these potential bike simulators is "who actually will get one?"  We would all 'like' one of course, but once the head comes out of dreamland where to put it?, how to afford it? how much will it get used etc etc. Arcade games only hold peoples attention for a month. Next thought - might stick with my 360 controller and just pop to the amusement arcade once a year.

Ahh seems Im getting old.  :(

Have you ever thought about the fact that a real bike leans in a corner because this is the point where gravitation and rotation forces neutralize eachother?
So on a real bike in a corner the rider wouldn't have the problem of falling of the bike at the inside. So if you want to build a realistic simulator it would be the better solutions the keep the bike in place (just shake it a litte from left to right) but to move everything around it.

Hmm, that's not entirely entirely true: when you hang off on a real bikle turning, you do have some downward force (but yes, it's less than in a static situation).

Arguable, you wouldn't have the feeling of your body pivoting with the bike when the bike leans (which probably would feel very weird).
