Also a good idea for everyone to write down their favourite profile settings and bike settings with an old fashioned pen and paper (try local antique stores).

Beta releases (like 8 ) that promise changes to the GUI and garage interface may mean your old profile files will not work/cause cores la la la.

Heed my prophecy of doom (avoidance).

now i can see the list of servers, but not much luck so far - i tried joining the GP125 ITA server after installing it, and i get 'bike unknown to server'
tried joining an open class server with the murasama selected, and got 'missing bike'....
.... seems like online is going to remain a distant dream for me.....  :'(

"Bike not known to server" means you don't have the exact same version of a bike the server is running. There is only one place to get it - the BikeMod database.

"Missing Bike" on an OPEN server means you do not have all the bikes that server has - that is why the GPBOC 1 server only runs bikes from, guess where, the BikeMod database.

If there is a server that is running OPEN mode and has bikes loaded that aren't in the OFFICIAL BIKEMOD then you might as well play the Lottery as you have more chance of seeing something fruitful than actually getting on, because you will have to find out what bikes the server has and where the links to them are that the host used.

Hence all the drivel about how it would be best if bike authors ALL released their bikes via the BikeMod. Still, its all been said before.....

I have a google doc spreadsheet for bike settings.
It's on the cloud, apparently is a nice place :)
