Any chance you can cut-out the rider bobbing-up action when the rider changes gear.... Does anyone see racers doing that in reality?

I would think it's a very inefficient action to take myself? Keeping your body still while changing gear is SO much more efficient and the bike doesn't have to absorb any inertial energy from all that body/weight movement too.

Just strike up GPB, go on track and do a couple of laps and then watch the replay of the rider changing gears. You can clearly see the riders shoulders bobbing up and down in time with the gear change.  ;)

apart from the forks compressing momentarily, i don't see anything, that's why i asked.

it may have something to do with the throttle-rider fwd. lean connection when using auto rider lean.

+1 rider movement when changing gear is way too obvious, up and down, annoying thats the correct word for it  ;)

This is with shift help ON.

doubledragoncc

its a word in the name of BOBPPPPPPPPP.....bobbing up!!!

I think if you did it in real life you would snap the damn lever or strip the shaft splines lol

Are you using manual rider or any rider over-ride settings? If so then set your rider to auto only with "Shift Help" on, because this rider movement is so obvious that if you cannot see it then you must be over-riding it I think?  ;)

Why would anyone be using shift help?

DD

Tell me why not and I'll explain why on certain bikes, if they are realistically produced by Bike-Modders, then you should have to use "Shift Help" in certain circumstances.  ;D

That's why your not seeing anything....

Turn your manual rider off and you will see it.  ;D

ok, i tested it. because the throttle determines the amount of forward lean and because shift help cuts the throttle for half a second, you get this behaviour.
easy fix would be to use the throttle input instead of the "throttle output" (what the bike "receives" after TC/AW and shifthelp) for the auto forward lean.

yeah it seems throttle related in GPB.. if you close throttle when shifting he bobs (500cc). keep it pinned he stays still..
