getting this message when try go  Online  " Old Version: Please update"  deleted all beta 4 then installed 5


Any ideas??

Did you delete the beta 5 version of the "Piboso" folder in your "My Documents" folder before installing Beta5b?

I have a gear change problem when I use the back brake.
I have automatic clutch and shift help on,tried shift help off no different and I have gearbox preload selected
If I press the back brake a little about half way to the R in "R Brake" in the Maxhud input slider I can change up and down
Press it a bit more then I can only change up
Press it past the R in "R Brake" and I can no longer change up
At first I thought the button on the Xbox 360 was faulty my rear brake is on a pedal maybe its my setup

If each version of GPB installed itself by default in his own folder (e.g. "program files/GP Bikes beta5b") ad used a different data directory (e.g. "documents/Piboso/GP Bikes beta5b"), plenty plenty of issues (mostly affecting newcomers) would disappear instantly. And our old chaps (ehm, experienced users, I meant) wouldn't have to reply to this sort of trivial issues. It's a 30 seconds fix.

I can't try it (and won't be able to try for at least 1 month), but why are you using gearbox preload ? Do you know how it is supposed to work ?

On a more general level, missed shifts (mostly downshifts) reported by many are a consequence of the reduction of the DisengageMaxTorque (150 --> 100 for the 990 from beta4b to beta5/5b). When there's is torque being "transferred" by the gearbox (either from the engine to the wheel or from the wheel to the engine), if that torque is more than the set limit, the gearbox won't disengage and shift won't happen.
Shifting up this should not happen on the 990, as it has a shifter (that is supposed to cut the injection so that there's no/little generated torque).

In any case, if I recall correctly, the reduction in the disengagemaxtorque has been applied to all the (default) bikes, each one in his own manner, but it was significant for all the bikes (if my memory is not completely gone). the explanation should apply to the 125 too then.

I tested the preloaded gearbox yesterday to see if it´s a differnce but can´t see any.
Ok, i only did 5 laps but the gearbox behave similar in both cases.
Don´t have any issue with the downshifts....
Speaking about Beta5b!
Riding the 125cc of course  (Didn´t try the bigger ones yet).

Hmm mixed reports.. For me personally downshifting hasnt missed a beat. Spot on!

Finding I can tune out the wobbles etc..

Main issue for beta5b for me and many is nervous front end in slow corners! Actually feels better than beta4b at high speed to me..

Everything else physics wise is improved imo..

That makes sense,a while back I watched a lap of Victoria posted on here,the rider was using the rear brake a lot more then I was so I tried it myself and it helped the bike turn better.
At the time I thought it was very unrealistic but it helped me lap better, its obviously been corrected in the new beta .Its just a bad habit that I will have to stop.

I got this. Trying to remember how I fixed it. I think I deleted my profiles completely in the documents folder. Don't delete your license key. I made all new profiles and it seemed to work.
