Difficulty to charge texture

Hi,

My problem is pretty short to explain : I can't charge all the textures of the game in same time. It appear the more often like if it was the image of the rider or the bike which don't succeed to get the form of the 3d model, and so it's dirrectly the flat image that i can see sometimes.

Only the Home menu work very normally in normal fps.

There is few screen shots down there for that you give me your opinion about it.

I don't think that my graphical card is the problem cause i succeed to turn at 30 fps with this shit which move all the time like an alive liquid !

i precise that it's not always the same texture which fail. sometimes i have rider and biker perfect and track disgusting, and the time after it will be only the bike for example.

Another precision : when one the rider/biker texture fail, it's in moving, and it push me if for example i try to go out of the pit, so it's not only visual.

My drivers seems okay.

Don't hesitate to ask me more informations.

Thanks by advance : )

Uh, looks a bit more than just "I can't load all the textures".

What's the graphic card ?

I had many problem with graphics but never a so big one.
Do you have some texture crossing them or one on one another?
Are they in 32, 16, 8 bits with alpha or not?
Wich software do you use?

Radeon X1300 ( i know....   ::) ) , but i can play Arma 1 or Battlefield 2 for example, so i think that it should be possible for this game  :'(

I haven't understood the first sentence ( i'm French ) unfortunately

If you talk about the textures, i've tried in 16 & 32 bits without bing changement.

And what do you mean about software ? the driver, the version of the beta ?

Thanks for you answers to you two : )

Wow, that's some pretty old stuff ... which OS ?

KiKi

XP 32 Bits Home recently re-installed ( Normally i should be in 64 bits but the information on the website where i've took the file was lies )

PS: sorry for the french language, he's french and it's easier to speak like that

HornetMaX

Old graphicd card + ancient OS + outdated (and no longer supported) drivers is rarely a good combo. Did GPB ever work for you ?

@janaucarre: I think he has a problem in-game, just playing (not trying to create a track).

HornetMaX

Could be the case. NoHDR is at 1 by default though.

No, it's a something new to run the game on this old pc that i've restart. normally i use others ones. My drivers are not so old (3 years if i don't say shit)

I played Gp-bikes on Windows XP SP3 with Intel GMA 3100 integrated video card, with these changes:
- desktop resolution
16 bit
- core.ini file:
NoPBO = 1
NoFBO = 1
NoHDR = 1
- gpbikes.ini file:
bpp=16

Only problems were shadows and reflections didn't work and wet track appeared black.

Radeon X1300 is better than GMA 3100: http://www.game-debate.com/gpu/index.php?gid=624&gid2=59&compare=intel-gma-3100-vs-radeon-x1300-256mb

Ah ! someone in the same shit than me :p

Thanks for this informations, it confirm my opinion that it should work for me in low quality

KiKi

I've tried with this settings and it's still the same about this texture which move alone :/

janaucarre

Try to watch the fps (ctrl+f) and watch if there  is some very high or very low fps when the problem happens and say us

KiKi

I do this since the beginning, it come on the menu of the pitlane just after charging the track, around 40fps at this time more or less , and at the moment where i move the mouse, it's like if i press a start button for this shit of mad texture and it start to move and i felt to 5 fps max :/

HornetMaX

I still think the problem is not the card being powerful enough or not, it looks more like a drivers problem. As your OS + drivers combo is no longer supported by AMD ... good luck.
